Our mission at HerScan is to bring life-saving breast screening directly to women in their communities. We believe early detection saves lives, and every woman deserves accessible care to take charge of her breast health.
Research shows that incorporating ultrasound for breast cancer screening with mammography can increase detection rates by up to 96% in women with dense breast tissue. Ultrasound can identify cancers that may not be visible through mammography or physical examination alone.
HerScan makes ultrasound for breast cancer screening more accessible through community-based health events. Appointments are designed to be fast, affordable, and convenient, helping more women gain access to preventive care.
No referral is required for a breast screening. Appointments are painless, take about 20 minutes, and use little to no compression. Our mobile health screening events are offered Monday–Saturday in most states across the U.S.
Nearly half of women in the U.S. have dense breast tissue, which can make it harder for mammograms alone to detect cancer. Adding a breast ultrasound screening provides an important layer of protection, improving the chances of finding cancers earlier. Combining physician exams, mammograms, and supplemental screening offers a more complete approach to breast health.
Your breast ultrasound screening is interpreted by a Board-Certified Radiologist, ensuring expert review you can trust. Our ARDMS / ARRT certified sonographers have extensive experience in breast health, providing compassionate care and precise imaging for every patient.
HerScan uses breast ultrasound technology capable of detecting abnormalities that mammography or physical exams may miss. Ultrasound provides a clearer view — reaching all the way to the chest wall — for a more advanced breast screening. Breast ultrasound is compression and radiation-free.
