No nights. No weekends. No holidays. No call. If you’ve spent years scanning in a hospital — rotating weekends, covering holidays, taking call, and navigating the politics of a large health system — this role was built for you. HerScan is a fast-growing, mission-driven mobile breast ultrasound company bringing supplemental screening directly to women in their communities. We’re looking for an experienced, ARDMS-certified sonographer to own a mobile territory and deliver life-changing care on a schedule that actually works for your life.

  • Predictable, daytime hours. No nights, no weekends, no holidays, no on-call. Your evenings and weekends are yours again.
  • Autonomy and ownership. You run your territory. No charge nurses, no rotating assignments, no bureaucracy. You’re the expert — and we treat you like one.
  • Meaningful, focused work. Every scan you perform could detect a cancer that would have otherwise gone unnoticed. You’ll hear “thank you” from patients who mean it.
  • Mileage reimbursement. We cover your travel costs so you’re not subsidizing your own commute (parameters apply)
  • Be part of something bigger. HerScan operates in 45+ states and is on a mission to close the gap in breast cancer detection for women with dense breast tissue. Your work is part of a national movement.
About the Role

As a HerScan Breast Sonographer, you’ll manage your own mobile territory, traveling to partner facilities to perform supplemental breast ultrasound screenings for self-referred patients. You’ll work with state-of-the-art portable equipment and collaborate with our network of Board Certified Radiologists — all while setting your own pace without hospital floor chaos around you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality breast ultrasound scans according to HerScan protocols
  • Identify and document visible abnormalities clearly and accurately
  • Ensure each study meets technical and clinical standards for interpretation by Board Certified Radiologists
  • Operate and maintain portable ultrasound equipment to the highest standards
  • Deliver a warm, patient-centered experience — many of your patients will be anxious; your calm, professional presence matters
  • Communicate professionally with HerScan staff, radiologists, and facility partners
  • Manage your mobile territory, including daily equipment setup, cleaning, and client coordination

Qualifications

  • Active ARDMS certification required; breast (SBI) certification a plus
  • Minimum 3 years of experience specializing in breast ultrasound
  • Current BLS certification preferred
  • Compliant with CME requirements for Breast Ultrasound
  • Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license (mileage reimbursement provided - parameters apply)
  • Self-motivated and comfortable managing your own schedule and territory with minimal supervision

Job Type: Full-Time | Daytime Hours | No Nights, Weekends, or Holidays

By applying for an employment opportunity with HerScan you are giving us permission to text you as a follow up to a voicemail, or to communicate with you about a potential job opportunity.  Thank you.
